Lanterns is a group for adults experiencing or recovering from mental health problems or distress. Run at Gold Hill by Buckinghamshire Mind, the Lanterns Club provides a range of social activities, information and adult learning in a non-threatening, non-judgemental environment.

Activities at Gold Hill include badminton, table tennis, pool, arts & crafts sessions and, in addition, there are excellent speakers who bring stimulating talks and demonstrations. Every other week, when possible, the group makes a trip to another destination to widen the scope of activities and interest. Such visits could be to a country park, garden centre, farm park, swimming pool, to mention just a few examples.
Lanterns is open every Tuesday from 11.00am to around 4.00pm, during which cooked lunch, snacks and light refreshments are available. Joining Lanterns is only possible by referral through a Community Mental Health Team. For more information, please call Vicky Royal (Day Service Manager) on 01494 792 244.
Buckinghamshire Mind is a charity that for over 90 years has been involved in the promotion of good mental health through education, campaigning and the provision of services.
