For us at Gold Hill, it is all about Jesus. We believe Jesus is the Son of God, that He is the only way to have a full and unbroken relationship with God, and that following Him is the absolute best way to live our lives. We are followers of Jesus, and everything else flows out of that.

Jesus didn’t come to establish a religion. He came to call people to follow Him, to lead them back to His Father in Heaven. He said:

“I am the way, the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

Jesus is ‘the way’. His Way starts with the acknowledgement that we fail, and we can’t sort out our problems in our own strength. Instead, all we must do is admit to ourselves and God that we need his help. That’s how we start, and that’s how we carry on the way of life Jesus calls us to.

Jesus is also ‘the truth’. When we follow Him, he shows us what is true and good, and what isn’t. He does this through the Bible and through others who have gone before us. If we want to live a true life, a whole life, we believe Jesus is the place to start and finish.

And Jesus is ‘the life’. He promises us ‘life in all its fullness’. That doesn’t mean everything will be easy, but that He will be with us, living in us by sending the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, and that leads to the fullest life possible.

Our church is a group of people who are travelling this way, seeking this truth and living this life. We encourage each other, we share experiences, and we spur each other on to go further and deeper. We love to gather to worship God and to be spurred on in it all.
